As you all know there is a current events quiz tomorrow and if you’re like me you are not ready. Here are some of my notes. (If I left notes out please e-mail me).

3 A Kurdish rebel stops on a road side in Northern Iraq. PKK went into Turkey through the spring and summer.
4 "If I'm arrested the People's Party of Pakistan workers will continue to fight for democracy and the rule of law" said Bhutto.
5 Ian stopped nuclear weapons program in 2003.
6 President George W. Bush, Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and Palestinian President Mahmound Abbas all went to the Middle East Peace Summit in Annapolis Md. on Tuesday November, 27, 2007.
7 General Assembly adopts landmark resolution call for death penalty moratorium.
8 Protests grow in Myanmar against Junta (a military group that takes over and rules)
9 China says that the US award for the Dalai Lama has undermined Tes, Demands Redress.
10 North Korea agrees to nuclear disarment.
11 Bush vetoes water recourses bill.
12 Mattel recalled 436,000 Chinese-made toys that had "impermissible levels of lead".
13 Turkey is mad at the US because we accused them of the genocide of the Armenians (mainly in Istanbul)
14 130 Muslim scholars write to Pope BenidictXVI.
15 US are giving laptops to children in 3rd world countries. This program is called One Laptop per Child.
16 Over 3 thousand miners were trapped a mile underground in a South African mine.
17 Over 1million miles of ice caps were lost due to global warming.
18 2 billion people worldwide lack clean energy.
19 At least 20 tigers were found in a rainforest in India that were thought to be extinct due to poachers.
20 The Belgium research lab in Antarctica is runned on renewed energy.
21 20-30 South Koreans were held hostage by the Taliban.
